Ancient Landscapes
In Wiltshire, our past resonates through the landscape. Stonehenge and Avebury are world-famous but these are only two of a great many ancient monuments and they are not the oldest. Wiltshire has a greater wealth of ancient landscapes than anywhere else in England. Indeed, the landscape itself is the richest record of our distant past, for it contains clues for which no written record has ever existed.
