This is a common orchid but the three, short stems of this individual make an attractive compact group. Early on a May morning, overnight mist was lifting, giving good diffuse light. I made the photograph with my tripod flat on the ground to get my camera level with the flowers. A 300mm telephoto lens allowed close control of depth of field and a pleasingly uncluttered background.
