Blue Hour, Porlock Bay

The planks of this groyne are long gone but the stumps are still standing, some with cobbles wedged between them. I waited for the rising spring tide to reach the top of the groyne, around 20 minutes after sunset. By this time blue twilight was well-established, with just a hint of pink left in the sky. A 30-second shutter speed shows pebbles over which waves are lapping as if viewed through mist.

F/13, HDR: 3.2s, 13s and 30s. ISO 250.
Accepted: Olympic (Greece) 2020 - Zeus
