Tiger, Tiger, Burning Bright

Bandhavgarh National Park in central India is reputed to have the highest density of wild tigers in the world. Reached by a 20 hour train and road journey from Delhi, its habitat of dense bush nonetheless makes tiger sightings elusive. By following deer and monkey alarm calls, we located this magnificent male on our fourth game drive. Low early morning sun was perfectly placed to light his face and emphasise the contours of his muscular physique. For more big cats, visit my Big Cats Gallery.
