MILKY WAY AND RADAR MEMORIAL

St Aldheim’s Head juts into the English Channel, giving it one of the darkest skies on the Dorset coast. The bowl-shaped memorial commemorates research on radar development done at the nearby village of Worth Matravers in the 1940s. It makes a perfect receptacle for the Milky Way core.
