Lion drinking at night

Lions are most active at night and the availability of nocturnal game drives makes Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park a good place to see them. I photographed this male at a waterhole using twin wirelessly-triggered off camera flash units , to avoid red-eye and harsh shadows.
