Milky Way Core over Jacobus kapteyn Observatory

Milky Way core over Jacobus Kapteyn Observatory on the island of La Palma. The distinctive Dark Horse Nebula can be seen above the left-hand side of the observatory. I used a fog filter to accentuate the brighter stars and show their colours. The distinctive constellation of Scorpius is just to the right of the observatory building. This image comprises 12 stacked frames of 15 seconds at f/2 and ISO 6400.
