Sunset on Berrow Beach
French barque SS Nornen was wrecked on Berrow Beach in Somerset in 1897. One hundred and twenty-seven years later the bones of the ship are still visible protruding from the sands of the Bristol Channel. I liked the way that tidal currents mediated by the wreck have scoured patterns in the sand so I positioned my tripod low to make them into leading lines. The weather forecast suggested cloud but my luck was in and I was treated to a glorious sunset over the distant Exmoor Hills.
