CWM IDWAL FROZEN

I braved bitterly cold winds and stinging rain to ascend into Cwm Idwal in Snowdonia after early March snowfall. I was rewarded by a frozen lake and menacing sky, conveying the bleakness of this north-facing glacial valley in the grip of winter. With almost no colour in the landscape, the subject seemed well suited to monochrome.
