SADDLEBILLED STORK EATING FROG

Looking rather like cartoon characters, saddlebilled storks are large, charismatic birds of African wetlands. I found this one in Zambia’s South Luangwa National Park probing mud for food. A fast shutter speed and precapture mode enabled me to freeze the decisive moment, revealing that its prey was small frogs.
