Courses
My landscape, wildlife and night sky photography courses are operated in association with the Royal Photographic Society and Lacock Photography, either online or classroom-based with field trips. All courses are tutored personally by Robert Harvey.
Each course is designed to develop your understanding of the subject, photographic techniques and to enhance your skills in planning, taking and post-processing. Group size is a maximum of six (in-person) or eight (online). Your active participation is warmly encouraged.

Astrophotography Evenings (variable dates)
My landscape astrophotography course and tours are very popular but successful results in the field are weather-dependent. I am therefore offering landscape astrophotography evenings in Wiltshire, Dorset or Somerset, arranged at short notice to take advantage of forecast for clear skies. They will make the most of ancient monuments, follies and ruined churches, which are such evocative features of the West Country and make great foreground to the night sky. Our astronomical targets may include one or more of the Milky Way, planets, stars, Moon, International Space Station, passing comets and meteor showers.
These evenings will usually be advertised two or three days in advance by email to those people who have subscribed to my astrophotography evenings mailing list to receive them. They may also be advertised on my Facebook Page.

Landscape Astrophotography Workshop (in person)
Digital photography enables us to capture the beauty of the night sky in unprecedented detail. This astrophotography workshop will introduce students to the wide range of astronomical phenomena that can be photographed using an ordinary digital single lens reflex camera (without a telescope). A full explanation will be provided of techniques to make stunning images of stars, planets, the moon and the Milky Way, in conjunction with terrestrial landscapes. The course also covers photographing star trails as well as rare, elusive and fast-moving astronomical phenomena such as meteors, aurorae and eclipses.
